In preparing for the Autumn Tour I went to the south of Kuwait in search of a wintering Red-tailed Wheatear. After half an hour search I managed to find one. I was also waiting for the Ménétries’s and asian Desert Warbler to arrive, the Asian Desert Warbler has arrived as I found 8 of them, but didn’t see any Ménétries’s Warbler yet.
I then stopped at a Reedbed at Sabah Al Ahmad town. It was a vast sewage water reedbed, newly established in the desert attracting many fresh water birds. It has a potential of becoming as rich as Jahra Pools Reserve, but this would time.
