I visited the reserve with Mark & Susan Chichester, Austin Baird and Brian Foster this morning. First we checked “Hume’s wadi” for White-crowned Wheatear which was still present. Other birds there were 2 Mourning Wheatears and Blue Rock Thrush. Redstart caused some excitment being in totally wrong habitat. Otherwise day seemed to be good for Steppe Eagle migration. On our way back we visited briefly Jahra Pool Reserve where we saw some waders including Spotted Redshank.
