Birdwatching on 3-4/09/2018
Passerine migration is picking up momentum in the last few days, but raptor migration has not yet started, although a single Steppe Buzzard, Long-legged Buzzard, Marsh Harrier and Pallid Harrier have been seen no eagles seen yet. The winds being mostly southerly, are probably delaying the raptor migration.
The following bird looked bigger than a lesser whitethroat, has not barring in the undertail coverts so excludes Eastern Orphean Warbler. It also shows a stronger bill, concolourous head and back and thus identified as a Hume’s Whitethroat.
