Farne Islands, UK on 04/07/2017

I went to the UK, to attend the OSME 39th summer meeting and the AGM at BTO Headquarters, Thetford, Norfolk, and also to attend the OSME council meeting on 2nd July. After the meetings I drove to Seahouses, North Northumberland to take a boat trip to Farne Islands on 4th July. The trip was booked a month earlier for a duration of six hours, including a visit to Inner Farne and Staple Islands. Although the weather was partly cloudy in the previous days, unfortunately on the trip day, it started to rain heavily postponing the trip more than two hours, cancelling the landing on the two islands and shortening the trip to 2 hours!
